Washing machine repair questions
Do wet clothes always mean the washer has not drained?
No. The water may have drained while the spin cycle did not finish, or water may still be visible in the drum. That distinction helps guide the inspection.
Should I force a locked door open?
No. Water, heat or a locking fault may keep the door closed. Do not force it; request an inspection if it remains locked.

Draining and spinning are different
Water remaining in the drum points the assessment towards the drain path and its controls. If water drains but spinning is poor, the load, programme interruption or another fault may be involved.
A stopped programme does not automatically mean the control board has failed. The stage at which it stops and any error code help narrow the possibilities.
Leaks and vibration during a wash
A leak may occur during filling, washing or draining. Its position and timing help the technician without running another cycle to demonstrate it.
Stop using a washer with severe vibration or a leak. Do not move it while full of water or remove its covers, and avoid touching the plug in a wet area.
