Damp clothes can have different causes
Load size, programme choice and airflow can affect drying, as can a fault requiring inspection. Damp clothes or a long cycle do not automatically mean the heater has failed. Note the symptoms and any error code without dismantling the appliance.
Stop using the dryer if you notice a burning smell, unusual overheating or sparks, and disconnect the power if it is safe to do so. Do not keep restarting it or open its wiring or internal parts. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the lint filter and any parts intended for user cleaning.

Why are clothes still damp after a drying cycle?

Does a dryer that will not heat need a new heater?
